Newbie Congressman Depressed Over the Suspension of Pork Release

At least one legislator is depressed due to the Pork Barrel Scam. Nueva Vizcaya 2nd District Representative John Jay Romero is worried about his future now that the Priority Development Assistance Fund or PDAF is being scrutinized by the public.

President Benigno Aquino suspended the release of PDAF until the investigation by NBI over the pork barrel scam is finished.

“I’m just a starting congressman. I don’t even have a house in Forbes yet. Why do these taxpayers keep on protesting against PDAF? Don’t they know it is our right to live in beautiful houses? Or to have expensive cars? Or travel abroad?” Romero complained.

The newbie congressman revealed that he is now taking anti-depression pills.

In an interview, House Speaker Sonny Belmonte said that at least eight congressmen are now experiencing clinical depression due to the suspension of PDAF release.

“More members of congress will suffer depression because of this PDAF issue. I’m afraid to think what my fellow legislators will do if our pork barrel is scrapped,” Belmonte said.

Cong. Romero said that he is not motivated to work because he doesn’t have PDAF.  He said that he will spend his days staring at his bedroom wall dreaming of yachts and Europe trip.
